Beauty with Purpose
At Holistic Hair Studio, we believe that beauty and community go hand in hand. That’s why we recently hosted our annual Cut-A-Thon Fundraiser in support of Veterans Moving Forward, a remarkable organisation that provides and trains service dogs at no cost to veterans in need.
Making a Difference, One Haircut at a Time
Held at our Alexandria salon, the event brought together clients, stylists, volunteers, and friends for a day of purpose-driven pampering. With 14 participants and a wave of local support, we proudly raised nearly $1,000 to help fund the care, training, and placement of life-changing service dogs.
Every snip, style, and smile on the day contributed to a cause that’s transforming the lives of veterans through the loyal companionship and support of highly trained dogs.

As part of our Cut-A-Thon fundraiser, we were also proud to feature a selection of Veterans Moving Forward merchandise, from T-shirts and hats to mugs and accessories.
By purchasing these items, guests not only showed their support visibly but also contributed directly to our fundraising total. All proceeds from merchandise sales go straight to helping veterans receive trained service dogs at no cost.
It’s more than just merchandise, it’s a meaningful way to give back and wear your support with pride. Every item sold helped us raise awareness, spark conversations, and deepen our impact.
