Do you take walk-ins?

We are located at 1433 Powhatan Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. We are a 5-minute drive from King Street, walking distance from Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray, and 10 minutes from Crystal City in Arlington. Free street parking is available outside the salon.

What are your opening hours?

We are open by appointment Tuesday 9am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 8pm, Thursday 9am to 8pm, and Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Do you specialise in curly hair?

Yes. We offer a dedicated Curly Cut service using a dry cutting technique specifically tailored for natural curls. The service includes consultation, OWAY organic shampoo, and styling, and is priced at $140.

What hair color products do you use?

We use O&M COR.color for all color services and OWAY for care, treatments, and styling. Both brands are organic, biodynamic, and free from harsh chemicals. O&M COR.color is widely regarded as the purest professional color line available and is safe for sensitive scalps and those with chemical sensitivities.

Is Holistic Hair Studio an eco-friendly salon?

Yes. We are a certified Green Circle Salon, which means we divert up to 95% of salon waste including hair clippings, excess color, foils, and packaging from landfills and waterways. Our organic hair color services start at $175 for a root retouch, $220 for highlights, $240 for full color, and $360 for balayage. Do you offer scalp treatments?
